INVAR steel welding

Characteristics:

Invar is an alloy of iron (64%) and nickel (36%) whose main property is having a very low coefficient of expansion. This invention is attributed to the Swiss Charles Édouard Guillaume, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1920 for the study of the properties of this alloy.

Its use:

Thanks to its low coefficient of thermal expansion, it is used in LNG carriers for transporting natural gases, in watchmaking, and in medical equipment.

Polishing

Characteristics:

Manual polishing is an important step in the finishing of our equipment.

Equipment in the food and pharmaceutical sectors is very often delivered with a polished finish.

The polishing stages are long but extremely necessary to ensure the desired finish. Depending on the requested level of polishing, it is possible to achieve a mirror finish.

High-nickel steel / Alloy welding

Characteristics:

Alloys represent a range of corrosion-resistant nickel alloys, sometimes used at high temperatures and under severe mechanical stress, classified as superalloys by the metallurgical industry, containing a vast majority of nickel.

Its use:

Its use: Alloy is used in industrial equipment and highly corrosive chemical processes. Reactors, incinerators, nuclear installations.

1.4571 stainless steel welding

Characteristics:

AISI 316Ti / 1.4571 material is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel, which exhibits very good corrosion resistance. This stainless steel grade is slightly magnetizable, has excellent welding properties, and is suitable for cold forming. AISI 316Ti / 1.4571 material can be used at temperatures up to 550°C.

Treatment options include cold heading and polishing.

Its use:

This steel is used in the automotive industry, construction industry, pressure vessel construction, the food industry, petrochemicals, and shipbuilding.

Aluminum welding

Characteristics:

We weld aluminum using several processes, mainly manual or mechanized TIG on a welding bench, as well as a special Plasma torch.

Welding capacity up to 90 mm on stainless steels

Characteristics:

We perform this type of welding using three processes: TIG 141, MAG 135, MAG 136. TIG is used to ensure the root, followed by 45 to 70 filling passes with 135 and finishing passes with 136. These countless passes require significant consistency and rigor from the welder to exclude any defects in the welds, which are X-rayed and pressure-tested.
