Pickling removes thermal oxides formed during welding—visible as blue and yellow tints along the weld seams—and restores the protective passive layer of stainless steel. The subsequent passivation ensures maximum corrosion resistance, meeting the stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical and food industries.

Technical data
Meili Technology processes both small components and large-scale apparatus using two complementary pickling methods. Immersion pickling is suited for parts that fit into our dedicated bath. Spray pickling covers surface areas up to 200 m2 for larger equipment such as reactors and tanks.
Pickling is an integral part of our comprehensive finishing process. Our equipment is systematically pickled and passivated after welding, followed by final polishing if required.
